Source Separation of Domestic Waste Competition

Hong Yip's environmental policy is "To comply with environmental legislation to prevent pollution and make the best use of resources to minimize the generation of waste." We endeavor to promote environmental protection throughout 140,000 units under our management. For those participating buildings, Hong Yip installs waste separation containers on each building floor to facilitate residents to separate waste at source with a view to increasing the recovery rate of domestic waste as well as reducing waste.

In the award presentation ceremony of the Source Separation of Domestic Waste Competition organized by the Environmental Protection Department and held at the Hong Kong Convention Centre on 14 August 2007, there are over 60 buildings under Hong Yip management acquired the commendation. Thanks to the residents' endeavours and contributions to green protection, we are proud to receive 2 Gold Awards, 17 Bronze Awards and 42 Certificates of Merits. Among them, Welland Building and Fortune Garden also won the Highest Recyclables Quantity Award and Ming Nga Court won the Lowest Waste Disposal Quantity Award respectively.
