Hong Yip received “2014 Award of 10,000 Hours for Volunteer Service”

Hong Yip volunteering team was formed in 2001 and endeavored to co-operate with NGOs focusing on caring for the underprivileged. Hong Yip currently has 50 volunteer teams to help a cross-section of community groups including the elderly, low-income families and people with disabilities. It also actively participates in the programmes organized by Social Welfare Department to widely serve those in need.

Hong Yip was honored to receive “Award of 10,000 Hours for Volunteer Service” and 82 Gold awards among 182 awards for individual volunteer services. The awards were presented by the Steering Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service, Social Welfare Department in recognition of their commitment to social services and care for the underprivileged.
